Will Rogers World Airport Survey - 2014

ORA successfully completed a Section 106 related Class III Archaeological Inventory Survey designed to identify and record archaeological sites and historic resources associated with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the City of Oklahoma City owned properties in support of development and expansion of the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City.

ORA developed a comprehensive narrative history of the airport project properties and authored a cultural resources report that identified archaeological sites that could be potentially affected by the proposed airport infrastructure improvements.  The project was reviewed and permitted through the Section 106 process, based on ORA’s findings and recommendations, which provided a path to development that preserves a portion of Oklahoma’s historic aviation and industry.
